Yasmien Kurdi Calls Out Bitter Basher Over Her Law School Posts

Yasmien Kurdi Claps Back at Basher Who Mocked Her Law School Milestone

YASMIEN KURDI – Actress Yasmien Kurdi has become the center of online discussion after responding to a basher who questioned her decision to celebrate completing her first year in law school.

Kapuso actress Yasmien Kurdi did not stay silent after a social media basher criticized her for sharing updates about her law school journey online.

In a lengthy post published on Sunday, June 7, Yasmien shared a screenshot of a comment from a user with the username “champaka,” who questioned her posts about studying law. The commenter wrote, “ang hirap maging law student! First year ka pa lang! Maka-flex! Flex mo kapag bar review ka na!”

Rather than responding with anger, Yasmien used the opportunity to share a message about appreciating personal growth and celebrating achievements, no matter how small they may seem.

“Just enjoy every journey, celebrate the small wins, and be proud of every little step you achieve in life. Siguro kung mas bata-bata pa ako, baka apektado pako. Pero sa edad ko ngayon, mas nare-realize ko na life is too short talaga. Just enjoy every journey. Hindi naman laging tungkol sa bilis ng pag-abot sa destination, nakaka-pressure ’yun. Sino ba ang hinahabol mo? Sarili mo o ibang tao? Nakakalungkot naman kung ibang tao ang hinahabol mo. Minsan, kapag na-appreciate mo ang proseso at ang growth along the way, mas nagkakaroon ng halaga ang lahat, diba?” she said.

The actress also emphasized that whether she eventually takes the Bar examinations or not, she intends to trust God’s plans and continue moving forward without putting unnecessary pressure on herself.

“Enjoy mo lang ang course and life! Bahala na kung magba-Bar o hindi. Just go with the flow. Kung ano ang plan ni Lord for us, dun tayo. Huwag masyadong magpapadala sa pressure ng buhay. It’s nice to document everything para maka-inspire din ng ibang tao. Bawal ang sobrang seryoso at pressure sa life, baka mabaliw tayo. Hahaha. Smile lang, champaka! And just do your best in everything you do,” Yasmien added.

She further explained that law school is not easy and that students begin preparing for the Bar as early as their first year. According to her, the journey involves countless hours of preparation, sacrifices, exhaustion, and emotional challenges.

“Mahirap talaga ang law school kasi napakahaba ng preparation. Pinaghahandaan na kami para sa Bar as early as first year. Pagod, hirap, at luha ang kasama sa journey. Noong una, naisip ko rin kung ise-share ko ba ang law school journey ko o hindi. Pero dahil challenging siya, nakaka-proud isipin na naka-survive ako ng isang taon! Amazing! At the end of the day, ang mahalaga ay patuloy kang sumusulong… at isang hakbang lang bawat araw. Isa lang ang katawan natin,” she shared.

Toward the end of her post, Yasmien directly reminded the basher not to be bitter and instead learn to celebrate the success of others.

“Also be happy for your friends kapag successful sila… wag kang bitter, dahil iba-iba naman tayo ng timeline at pinagdadaanan sa buhay. Walang karera. Enjoy the process, the self-realizations, the learnings and don’t forget to live! may pamilya pa tayo ha! haha. Bawal stress, baka magkasakit pa tayo. Be proud of yourself and of everything you’re doing. Malayo ang narating mo. Be proud and Smile,” she said.

Aside from pursuing law school, Yasmien revealed that she is also balancing her studies with family responsibilities. She recently celebrated completing her first year in law school and shared that Criminal Law is currently her favorite subject, while Oblicon remains the most challenging for her.
