PAGASA Says LPA to Bring Overcast Skies & Scattered Rain Showers Over Parts of PH

The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that a low-pressure area will bring overcast skies and scattered rain showers over some parts of the country.

On Tuesday (July 19, 2022), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. A low-pressure will continue to affect the country’s weather condition.

PAGASA reported that the LPA has been last spotted at 95 kilometers northwest of San Jose, Occidental Mindoro. It will bring overcast skies and scattered rain showers over five regions and two provinces.

“Malaking bahagi ng bansa makakaranas ng maulap na kalangitan na may mga pag-ulan dahil sa habagat at LPA,” Pagasa weather specialist Aldczar Aurelio said.

The LPA will bring cloudy weather condition with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms MIMAROPA, Western and Central Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula, BARMM, Misamis Occidental, and Lanao del Norte.

The Southwest Monsoon/Localized thunderstorms will bring partly cloudy to cloudy condition with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms over Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, Quirino, Nueva Vizcaya, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, Abra, Apayao, Kalinga, Mt. Province, Ifugao, Benguet and Aurora.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience similar weather condition. Possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains and during severe thunderstorms are expected.

Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over northern Luzon and the western sections of central and southern Luzon will be moderate to rough. The remaining parts of the country will have a slight to moderate surrounding sea condition.
