Weather specialist Grace Castañeda reported that the low-pressure area off Batanes has a slim chance of developing into a typhoon within 24 hours. Its impact has also diminished over most parts of Luzon.

“Nanatiling mababa ang tiyansa nito maging bagyo within 24 hours, at nakikita nga natin na palayo na ito sa ating area of responsibility at humina ang epekto nito maging ng southwest monsoon sa malaking bahagi ng Luzon,” Castañeda said.

The southwest monsoon will bring cloudy weather condition with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over the provinces of Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, Bataan and Zambales.
