PAGASA Says PH To Experience Generally Fair Weather Condition Due to HPA’s Ridge

PAGASA Releases Latest Weather Update for Wednesday (June 15)

The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that the Philippines will experience a generally fair weather condition due to the HPA’s ridge.

On Wednesday (June 15, 2022), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The ridge of the high-pressure area will affect the country’s weather conditions.

PAGASA reported that the Ridge of High-Pressure Area will be extending over Northern and Central Luzon while the Easterlies will be affecting the eastern section of Mindanao.

Partly cloudy to cloudy conditions with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms will prevail over Bicol Region, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, and Northern Samar. The localized thunderstorms will bring similar weather conditions over the entire Visayas, Palawan including Kalayaan Islands, and Occidental Mindoro.

The weather agency has advised the residents in the affected areas to take precautionary measures for possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience similar weather conditions while the southwest monsoon will also bring fair weather across the country.

“Ngayong araw, ine-expect natin na sa buong bahagi ng ating bansa ‘yong generally fair weather conditions maliban na lamang sa mga tsansa pa rin ng pulo-pulong pag-ulan dulot ng mga localized thunderstorm,” Pagasa weather specialist Grace Castañeda said.

Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over the entire archipelago will be slight to moderate, according to the weather bureau.

PAGASA reported that no tropical depression is expected to develop within the Philippine area of responsibility.
