Erwin Tulfo Slams Alan Peter Cayetano after 2-Day No Show
ERWIN TULFO – The majority Senator slammed Senate President Alan Peter Cayetano following his 2-day no show for Senate sessions.
The sessions in the Senate were not pushed through on Monday and Tuesday following the absence of the majority senators. On Monday, the majority senators were no show in for the Senate session after they accompanied Senator Jinggoy Estrada in his voluntary surrender following the issuance of an arrest warrant.

Graft and plunder charges were filed against Estrada over his allegedly corruption through the flood control projects. According to the Office of the Ombudsman, there was allegedly a systematic delivery of over P570 million to the Senator.
Sen. Jinggoy Estrada denied the accusations against him. In his speech prior to his voluntary surrender to the authorities on Monday, he tagged the accusations against him as alleged persecution.

Senate Pres. Alan Peter Cayetano and several majority senators showed their support to Sen. Jinggoy Estrada. Senators Imee Marcos, Mark Villar, Camille Villar, and Rodante Marcoleta accompanied Estrada. Cayetano even stopped the authorities from arresting Estrada inside the premises of the Senate.

On the other side, the minority senators which include former Senate Pres. Tito Sotto and senators Kiko Pangilinan, Risa Hontiveros, Erwin Tulfo, Raffy Tulfo, JV Ejercito, Migz Zubiri, Sherwin Gatchalian, Bam Aquino, Lito Lapid, and Ping Lacson were waiting for the majority senators for the Monday session in the chamber.
The majority senators were no show not only for the Monday session but as well as on Tuesday. Following their two-day absence, Sen. Erwin Tulfo and other majority senators criticized Senate Pres. Alan Peter Cayetano.

Sen. Erwin Tulfo stressed that it is the people who suffer with what Senate Pres. Alan Peter Cayetano is doing. He stressed that it is the problem now.
“Sorry po, pardon my French ho, pero ang sinasabi ko, sa sobrang kapal na ho ng mukha niya — ayaw niyang mag-attend, 2 days na — ang nagsu-suffer po, ‘yung taumbayan. That is the problem here,” Tulfo said.
Furthermore, based on News5, Sen. Erwin Tulfo also stressed the alleged thickness of the face of Senate Pres. Alan Peter Cayetano. He called on the Senate Chief to attend the session.
“Sa tingin ko nga, lalo kay Sen. Alan Cayetano, palakulin mo man ‘yung mukha noon eh baka tatalbog lang ‘yung palakol… SP Cayetano, parang awa mo na, pumasok ka na bukas. Sampu ng iyong mga kasamahan para magkaroon po tayo ng quorum,” Tulfo said based on the post.
Amid his absence in the Senate sessions, Senate Pres. Alan Peter Cayetano broke his silence through the social media and claimed that they are allegedly protecting the committee chairmanships in the Senate.
