Lolit Solis Pens Commentary on Sheryl Cruz’s Absence When Susan Roces Was Laid To Rest

SHERYL CRUZ – Veteran showbiz reporter Lolit penned her thoughts on Sheryl Cruz’s absence when her late aunt Susan Roces was laid to rest on Thursday.

The Queen of Philippine Movies Susan Roces is Sheryl Cruz’s aunt from her mother’s side. The veteran actress passed away on May 20 at the age of 80.

Cruz is currently making rounds online due to her video-recorded eulogy for her aunt. She said the video is her response to people who are wondering why she was not among the people who gave the eulogy at the last lamay of the Roces last May 25.

Lots of marites noticed that Sheryl Cruz did not mention Senator Grace Poe in her speech. This prompted Cristy Fermin to recall the actress’ issue with the politician when the latter was running for the presidency in the 2016 polls.

In her program Cristy Ferminute, she and her co-host Romel Chika also talked about the time when Sheryl visited Susan Roces’ wake. Cristy claimed that when the actress visited the lamay, none of her relatives was talking to her, not even Poe’s staff.

“Walang pumapansin kay Sheryl, walang pumapansin kahit staff ni Senator Mary Grace, wala. Kahit mga kamag-anak, kahit mga pinsan,” Cristy said.

Entertainment columnist Lolit Solis recently penned a commentary on Sheryl’s absence when Roces was laid to rest on Thursday, May 27, 2022, at the Manila North Cemetery. Roces was buried beside her husband Fernando Poe Jr.

In a lengthy IG post, Lolit also recalled the time with the Kapuso actress was not seen at her father Ricky Belmonte’s wake back in 2001. She also expressed her message to the late veteran actress about the said issue.
