Host-actress Kris Aquino visited President Bongbong Marcos and FL Liza Marcos as the latter prepared a belated birthday lunch for her.
Last month, Kris Aquino celebrated her 55th birthday, and as she welcomed a new chapter in her life, she was surrounded by those dear to her. Her sons, Josh and Bimby, as well as their close friends, feasted in the actress-TV host’s room, a celebration of her life.
In a previous article, Kris shared her birthday wish ahead of her 55th birthday. She shared that her birthday wish is to reach the age of 60 and attain both a senior citizen card and a person with disability (PWD) card. As much as we all know, she has been battling several autoimmune diseases.
Also, in a belated event, President Bongbong Marcos and First Lady Liza Marcos hosted a birthday lunch for her. The gathering was at the Palace, organized by fashion designer Michael Leyva, a mutual friend of Kris and the First Lady. It was particularly held at Bahay Pangulo in Malacañang Park.
The president briefly dropped by the lunch to greet Kris and took a photo with her and his wife. PBBM told Aquino she was looking “really well” during the short interaction.
The meeting is notable given the long and complex political history between the Aquino and Marcos families. Kris is the daughter of former President Corazon Aquino, who came to power after the 1986 People Power Revolution that ousted the late Ferdinand Marcos Sr. following more than two decades in power.
Meanwhile, this is not the first time that Aquino and the First Lady have been seen together. They also met during a birthday celebration for Leyva last October, one of the few times Kris was out of isolation, and their photo has gone viral.
