Karen Davila roasted Bong Suntay in this interview.
Seasoned broadcaster Karen Davila interviewed lawmaker Bong Suntay amid the buzz of his controversial remarks about Anne Curtis.
Quezon City 4th district Rep. Jesus “Bong” Suntay’s inappropriate remarks about Anne Curtis have become huge in a critical way. Many people were mad at the remarks he made about the actress that were done in a distasteful and objectifying way.

In a previous article, Suntay believed he deserved the backlash online due to his controversial remarks. He apologized to those who were offended, but his statement was widely seen as a non-apology, which only fueled further anger as he continued to stand by his analogy and insisted there was nothing wrong with his remarks.
Many celebrities reacted to Suntay’s remarks, and among them was Karen Davila.
She was among the first ones to react. During the TV Patrol episode on March 3, she criticized a culture where inappropriate or offensive remarks are dismissed as jokes, saying that this behavior has been tolerated for too long and should no longer be accepted.
Davila expressed that public servants are paid by taxpayers. She furthered by saying that their role is to work seriously and responsibly, uphold laws, and not to make jokes or behave in ways that seem unprofessional.
In her recent interview with Suntay, she asked him about his stance on whether or not he should attend a “gender sensitivity seminar of some kind.” The lawmaker, responding to this, said, “I know, Miss Karen. Hindi naman sa hindi ko alam…”
Davila cut him off, stating, “Hindi lang kayo nag-isip, ganon ba yun?”
In the same interview, he was still insisting that there was no malice in his analogy, but believed that there could have been a better one. He stressed that it was taken out of context and was subject to various interpretations by the public.
