LENI ROBREDO – The Vice President encourages Filipinos to vote based on track record as May 2022 Elections draw near.
The candidates for the May 2022 Elections are now down to their last two (2) days of campaign as the campaign period set by the Commission on Elections (Comelec) is about to end. Most of them prefer to spend the last few days of the campaign period with their supporters and volunteers.
According to Comelec, 10 names are on the official ballot for the 2022 Presidential Election. Based on the list released, the only woman candidate for president and the 10th candidate on the list is Vice Pres. Leni Robredo. She is running as an independent candidate and her running-mate is Senator Kiko Pangilinan who is running under the Liberal Party.
The Leni-Kiko grand rallies are among the campaign events that drew thousands of people. The tandem has a lot of volunteers, too, who spend their own money and gives their time and energy to help in the campaign.
Recently, Vice Pres. Leni Robredo visited Dipolog City where she got the endorsement of several local officials including Mayor Dodoy Labadlabad, 2nd District Representative Glona Labadlabad, and 3rd District Rep. Gani Amatong. Based on the report, amid the endorsement of the public officials, the Vice President encourages the Filipino voters to vote based on the track record.
Furthermore, Vice Pres. Robredo expressed her hope that both heart and mind will be used in making a decision and not merely because of endorsements. The Vice President also stressed that public servants like them must appear personally to the people and will talk to the people.
Based on the report, in her last days of campaign, the Vice President visited the provinces of Kalinga, Abra, Aklan, Antique, Iloilo, and Baguio City and Bacolod City. She also went to Misamis Occidental where a campaign rally was held in Prosperidad town, Agusan del Sur. Meanwhile, she assured her supporters that it will not be the last time she’ll be seen in public as she cited that public servants must dedicate their time to serving the people.
Today, Vice Pres. Leni Robredo will return to Bicol where she will hold grand rallies in Sorsogon City, Legazpi City, and Naga City. On May 9, she will cast her vote in Naga.
