PAGASA Releases Latest Weather Update for Thursday (March 17)

The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that the country will experience hot and humid weather condition with localized thunderstorms.

On Thursday (March 17, 2022), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The easterlies and localized thunderstorms will affect the country’s weather condition.

PAGASA reported that the easterlies will be affecting the entire country. It would bring partly cloudy to cloudy condition with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms Bicol Region, Northern Samar, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque and Romblon.

The Easterlies/ localized thunderstorms will bring similar weather condition over Visayas, Palawan including Kalayaan Islands, and Occidental Mindoro as well as Metro Manila and the rest of the country.

Hot and humid weather condition with possible localized thunderstorms in the afternoon or evening is expected nationwide due to the easterlies.

“Bukod sa mainit at magandang panahon na ating mararanasan sa buong bansa, may tsansa ng localized thunderstorms. Kadalasan po ‘yan sa hapon o gabi,” Pagasa weather specialist Aldczar Aurelio said.

No low pressure area or any weather disturbance has been spotted outside the Philippine area of responsibility, according to PAGASA.

The weather agency has also advised the residents in the affected areas to take precautionary measures for possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over Northern Luzon will be moderate. Slight to moderate surrounding conditions over the remaining parts of the country, according to the weather bureau.
