Online App Launched by Kakampinks for Leni Robredo’s Centralized Campaign

Presidential aspirant Leni Robredo’s Supporter “Kakampinks” launched an online mobile app for Robredo’s centralized campaign.

A group has established a social networking app for supporters of Vice President Leni Robredo in order to create a community for volunteers. This aims to organize the campaign and combat fake news directed at the presidential candidate.

The Leni App 2022: Advocate for BETTER Government is now available for download from a variety of app shops. It has various elements, including Kakampink Story, a variety of activities relating to Robredo’s campaign, and other announcements, and it is 32MB in size.

The Commission on Elections (Comelec) had previously highlighted a Robredo supporter’s website that was reportedly soliciting money from other supporters. According to the Comelec, accepting political money from foreigners may result in disqualification if proved guilty.

A fundraising page for Vice President Leni Robredo’s presidential campaign has been set up. On the crowdfunding page, supporters may give anywhere from P50 to P20,000.

Contributions from foreigners and foreign businesses are among the prohibited sources of campaign funds, according to the Omnibus Election Code. According to the Constitution, candidates are likewise forbidden from accepting election-related financial donations from foreign governments and their agents.
