PAGASA Says Shear Line to Bring Cloudy to Rainy Conditions Over Parts of PH

PAGASA Releases Latest Weather Update for Thursday (January 13)

The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that the shear line will bring cloudy to rainy conditions over some parts of the country.

On Thursday (January 13, 2022), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The shear line and the northeast monsoon will affect the country’s weather condition.

PAGASA reported that the Shear Line will be affecting the eastern section of Mindanao while the Northeast Monsoon would affect Luzon and Visayas.

The shear line would bring cloudy weather condition over scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Caraga, northern Mindanao, and Davao Region. Possible flash floods or landslides during moderate to at times heavy rains are expected.

Amihan will also bring similar weather condition with light rains over Cagayan Valley, Apayao, Kalinga, Ifugao, Mountain Province, Aurora, Quezon, Camarines Provinces, and Catanduanes.

The northeast monsoon will bring partly cloudy to cloudy condition with isolated light rains over Visayas, Occidental Mindoro and Palawan including Kalayaan Islands as well as Metro Manila, the rest of Luzon, and Visayas.

The localized thunderstorms will bring same weather condition with possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms over the rest of Mindanao.

Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over Luzon, Visayas, and the northern and eastern sections of Mindanao as well as the remaining parts of the country will be moderate to rough.
