PAGASA Releases Latest Weather Update for Tuesday (January 11)
The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that the northeast monsoon strengthened and it would bring cooler weather over some parts of the country.
On Tuesday (January 11, 2022), the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The northeast monsoon will continue to affect the country’s weather condition.
PAGASA reported that northeast monsoon will bring Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains will prevail over Bicol Region, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, Occidental Mindoro and Palawan including Kalayaan Islands.
Amihan would bring the same weather condition over Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon. Similar weather condition with thunderstorms are expected over Northern Samar and Visayas as well as the remaining parts of the country due to the easterlies.
PAGASA weather specialist Grace Castañeda said that the entire Philippines will have a fair weather condition despite the intensified northeast monsoon. However, cooler weather is expected over some parts of the country.
“Sa kasalukuyan, inaasahan natin ang muling paglakas ng northeast monsoon o amihan at ito nga po ngayon ay umiiral at nakakaapekto dito sa bahagi ng Luzon kung saan ngayong araw asahan po natin ang malamig na panahon dito sa malaking bahagi ng Luzon,” Castañeda said.
The coastal water condition over northern Luzon and the rest of Luzon will be moderate to rough. Slight to moderate surrounding sea conditions are expected over the remaining parts of the country.
The weather agency has also raised gale warning in the seaboards of Batanes and Babuyan Islands due to the effects of northeast monsoon.
