PAGASA Says Shear Line & Amihan to Bring Cloudy to Rainy Conditions Over Parts of PH

PAGASA Releases Latest Weather Update for Tuesday (December 21)

The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that the shear line and the northeast monsoon will bring cloudy to rainy conditions over some parts of the country.

On Tuesday (December 21, 2021), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The shear line and northeast monsoon will affect the country’s weather condition.

The shear line will be affecting eastern section of Northern and Central Luzon. The northeast monsoon will bring affecting the rest of Northern Luzon while the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) will affect Southern Mindanao

The shear line will bring cloudy weather condition with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Cagayan Valley and Aurora. Possible flash floods or landslides are expected during moderate to at times heavy rains.

Partly cloudy to cloudy condition with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms are expected over Bicol Region, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon and Northern Samar. Metro Manila, Central Luzon, Cordillera Administrative Region, and Ilocos Region will experience similar weather condition.

The Intertropical Convergence Zone will bring similar weather condition over the region Mindanao. The localized thunderstorms will bring the same weather over the remaining parts of the country.

The weather agency warned the public for possible flash floods or landslides are expected during severe thunderstorms.

The coastal water condition over Luzon will be moderate to rough. Slight to moderate surrounding sea conditions are expected over Visayas and Mindanao.

PAGASA continues to monitor the active tropical cyclone located outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).  Tropical Storm Rai has been last spotted 80 kilometers west northwest of Laoag City, Ilocos Norte.
