Senator Pacquiao Calls for Help for Victims of Typhoon Odette

SENATOR PACQUIAO – Philippine Sen. Manny Pacquiao appealed to his friends and supporters to extend help to the victims of Typhoon Odette.

Typhoon Odette left a lot of families in the Philippines homeless. Their houses were either damaged by the strong winds and heavy flood or was hit by uprooted trees due to the typhoon. At least 75 people were dead due to the said typhoon.

Massive preparations were done before Typhoon Odette entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) but the typhoon undeniably has its own strength. It caused a lot of people to lose their source of living.

The typhoon displaced a lot of families and many people are in need of help now. Public and private entities are on the move to help the victims. One of those who were quick to extend help is Senator Manny Pacquiao.

Sen. Pacquiao decided to forego a grand birthday celebration this month and used his birthday funds to help the victims of Typhoon Odette. He is also planning to visit several provinces hit by the strong typhoon.

Recently, Senator Pacquiao also appealed to his friends and supporters to extend help to the victims of Typhoon Odette. Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, the Senator stressed that many people are now in need of help as they face hunger and other struggles following the wrath of Odette.

The Senator called for those who have funds to help those who are in need. Donations can be given through the Manny Pacquiao Foundation.

Sen. Pacquiao also said that those who do not have enough resources but want to help may also volunteer in the repacking and delivery of the relief goods for the Typhoon Odette victims. Those who want to be volunteers may head to the foundation’s headquarters in General Santos City or Makati City.
