BAGYONG ODETTE: PAGASA Weather Update, Class Suspensions (October 13)

BAGYONG ODETTE – Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) release update on weather and class suspensions, October 13.

Bagyong Odette with an international name Khanun has accordingly maintained its strength and is traveling across Apayao based on the 8:00 a.m. update of the state weather bureau.

The center of the Tropical Storm “Odette” was estimated to be in the vicinity of Calanasan, Apayao (18.0 °N, 121.0 °E). This was at 7:00 a.m. today and is based on all available data.

Warning signals were also raised to several places of the country:

Signal No. 2 – Batanes, Cagayan including Babuyan group of islands, Apayao and Ilocos Norte. (The storm signal made landfall in Cagayan on Friday at 12:40 a.m.)

Signal No. 1 – Isabela, Abra, Kalinga, Mountain Province, Ifugao, Ilocos Sur, La Union and Benguet.

According to a report from the Summit Express, the tropical storm, within 400km of its diameter, is said to be expected to bring moderate to heavy rains to areas.

It is also expected to leave the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) between tonight and tomorrow early morning.
