Vice Ganda and John Prats are friends
It’s Showtime host Vice Ganda and the Kapamilya noontime show’s former director John Prats proved that the rumored rift between them is not true.
To recall, this rumor about the alleged “awayan” between Vice and John started to circulate when the latter decided to choose to be the director of the primetime Kapamilya series Ang Probinsyano instead of continuing his stint in the noontime show.
However, in a recent episode of It’s Showtime, based on the article in Abante, the two stars of ABS-CBN proved the speculations were wrong. During the said episode, John paid a visit to the show’s studio and he received a warm welcome from the hosts.
Then, Vice Ganda quipped that the reason why John Prats visited It’s Showtime was to convince him to be part of the ABS-CBN’s Christmas Special. “Kinakabahan ako. Nakakakaba kasi nandito si John Prats, may magkukumbinsi na sumali tayo sa opening,” the comedian-host said.
It was also obvious that the hosts of the noontime show really missed their former director and they even said that he should give a “sample” which has been a tradition in It’s Showtime. When the actor-director was on the stage already, Vice hugged him.
After that, John said that his real intention for why he visited the show was to convince Vice to be part of the Christmas Special. “Hindi kumpleto ang Pasko kung wala ka,” the actor-director said. Then, Vice Ganda shared the conversation he had with John Prats on SMS.
“Kahapon tinext niya ako, tapos sabi ko ‘Pratty, ang tanda ko na.’ Tapos tinext niya ako ulit. Ano ba isasagot ko rito? Hindi na ako sumagot, nakatulog na ako, tapos ngayon nandito ka na personal! Sige na, sasama na nga ako!” the comedian-host said.
Reportedly, it is expected that 100 stars from the Kapamilya network will join the Andito Tayo Para Sa Isa’t Isa: The ABS-CBN Christmas Special 2021.
