Bong Suntay has this “malicious” statement about Anne Curtis
The Supreme Court issues a show cause order versus Quezon City 4th District Rep. Bong Suntay, in line with his “malicious” statement against Kapamilya actress Anne Curtis.
To recall Suntay’s controversial statement became a topic of discussion during his manifestation at the House Committee on Justice hearing regarding the impeachment complaint against Vice President Sara Duterte.
This happened back March 3, 2026. His statement caught the attention of netizens and Anne’s fellow celebrities.

“Minsan nasa Shangri-La ako, nakita ko si Anne Curtis. Ang ganda-ganda pala niya. You know, may desire sa loob ko na nag-init talaga, at na-imagine ko na lang kung ano ang puwedeng mangyari. Pero siyempre hanggang imagination lang ’yon,” Cong. Bong Suntay said.
Suspended lawyer Jesus Falcis shared a post on his Facebook page, the information he reportedly obtained from Atty. Joji Alonso on July 8, 2026. It was stated that the Supreme Court has issued a show-cause order against Suntay, as well as Atty. Ferdinand Topacio because of his “malicious” statement on Kapuso actress Jasmine Curtis-Smith, Anne’s younger sister.
The order requires Suntay and Topacio to explain why they should not be disbarred. They were granted Suntay and Topacio a period of 10 days to submit their comments.

“Representative Suntay and Atty. Topacio are ordered to SHOW CAUSE why they should not be meted the ultimate penalty of disbarment by filing with the Court their respective comments within a NON-EXTENDIBLE period of 10 days from receipt of this Resolution,” the Supreme Court stated, based on the article in Balita.
Meanwhile, SC also ordered the Office of the Bar Confidant to submit an updated list of pending administrative cases against Suntay and Topacio within 10 days, while directing the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) to submit a status report.
As of this writing, Bong Suntay and Ferdinand Topacio have yet to issue their response to the SC’s show-cause order.
