Lady Victim Airs Dismay After Losing P70k to ATM Switching Modus

A lady victim lost her P70, 000 from a female scammer using ATM switching modus in Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental.

Nowadays, robbery has been one of the most common crimes not only in the Philippines but also in different countries all around the world. Several criminals have no choice but to commit crimes due to financial problem.

The Philippine government is implementing stricter policy but the crimes continue to exist behind the knowledge of the authorities. The rate of criminality continue to increase amid the stricter rules and regulations.

The CCTV footage installed outside the bank has caught the female suspect using ATM switching modus to steal the money from her victim. The lady victim tries to withdraw cash from the machine.

The female suspect together with her colleagues monitor the victim’s action. The victim encountered trouble during the transaction and the scammer offered help by trying the ATM card on the other machine.

The woman takes her card back and tried to withdraw again but discovered that it was not her card. The suspect switched the card during the transaction and the card contains another name.

The scammer successfully stole the P70, 000 from the victim’s bank account.

The victim immediately reported the incident to the police authorities. The cops assumed that the scammer learned the PIN number after approaching the woman. The police force were also looking for the three suspects.

The authorities reminded the public to cover the buttons when entering PIN number and do not let anyone borrow or hold their ATM cards to prevent falling into the schemes.
