Tagaytay Police Recorded Series of Basag-Kotse Modus as Christmas Season Approaches
BASAG KOTSE MODUS – A series of “basag-kotse” modus have been recorded in Tagaytay as Christmas Season approaches.
As Christmas Season approaches, a lot of tourists were visiting the town to relax and enjoy the cool breeze. However, criminals were also taking advantage of the Yuletide season to perform their illegal activity.
Consecutive car robbery incidents have been recorded in the area. One of the victims got surprised after he found the broken and shattered glass window of his vehicle at the parking lot.
The thieves successfully stole a bag at the passenger’s seat of the car. The victim immediately reported the incident to the police station for immediate action. Two other victims also went to the police station to report the same incident.
The Tagaytay Police Station recorded three consecutive “basag-kotse” incidents in the area. The authorities have also recorded several car robbery incidents last year and they were looking “persons of interest.”
The police authorities also advised the public to refrain from leaving bags and valuables inside their vehicles. The cops will also intensify the police visibility in the area during this Christmas season.

“May mga person of interest kami na tinitinganan in these incidents, since this week, nagkaroon kami ng mga adjustment sa mga particular area. we checked kung saan ilalagay ang mga patroller naming sa mga visibility point” Tagaytay City Police Chief Lt/Col. Nerwin Ricohermoso said.
