Bike Owner Caught Thief Using His Bicycle
The police authorities arrested a male suspect using “Palit-Bisikleta” modus to steal bicycles, the bike owner caught the culprit using his bicycle.
The CCTV footage in Pasig Housing 1 Homeowner’s Association caught the suspect breaking into the subdivision’s entrance. He went into a parking lot and saw a cyclist using a good bicycle, so he wait for an opportunity to perform his illegal activity.
After a few moments, the bike owner decided to leave to do something although he had hesitations. The suspect quickly grab the opportunity and took the latter’s bicycle and leave his own bike at the same spot as replacement.
The bike owner is about to throw a garbage bag when he met the suspect using his bicycle at the gate. The victim quickly grabbed the suspect’s shirt and called the security guard for help. The thief has been brought to the police station.
The police authorities found out that the suspect is a resident of Pasig. According to the subdivision’s management, there are several incidents of bike robbery inside the vicinity. Most suspects are using the “Palit-Bisikleta” modus.
“Actually nakunan yung pangalawang beses, nakunan pa ng CCTV eh, sa tingin ko siya rin yun e kasi hawig niya,” Eusebio Bliss Residential 1 Admin Rod Escuadra said.
The victim would file charges against the suspect to prevent him from performing the same modus again.
“Itutuloy po naming kasi ano e, dami na pong nangyayari na nakawan dito, kung lagi lang pong pakakawalan ganoon mauulit at mauulit pa rin yung mga nangyayari,” the victim said.
