PAGASA Releases Latest Weather Update for Thursday (November 18)

The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that the low-pressure embedded along an ITCZ would bring cloudy to rainy conditions over some parts of the country.

On Thursday (November 18, 2021), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The Low Pressure Area and northeast monsoon would affect the country’s weather condition.

PAGASA reported that the Low Pressure Area has been last spotted at 675 km East of Borongan City, Eastern Samar embedded along the Intertropical Convergence Zone. It would affect the weather condition over Palawan, Visayas, and Mindanao.

The LPA/ITCZ is expected to bring cloudy weather condition with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Palawan, Catanduanes, and Samar Provinces.

The northeast monsoon or locally known as Amihan would bring similar weather condition over Cagayan and Apayao. Possible flash floods or landslides are expected during moderate to at times heavy rains.

Partly cloudy to cloudy weather condition with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms are expected over Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon and the rest of Bicol region. The rest of Visayas and Occidental Mindoro would have the same weather condition due to the localized thunderstorms.

The ITCZ and localized thunderstorms would bring similar condition over Mindanao, the rest of Visayas, the rest of Bicol Region, Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon. Possible flash floods or landslides are expected during severe thunderstorms.

The coastal water condition over northern Luzon will be moderate to rough. The rest of Luzon, Western Visayas, rest of Visayas and Mindanao will have slight to moderate surrounding sea condition, according to the weather bureau.
