Jennylyn Mercado talked about her recently acquired role
Kapuso Ultimate Star Jennylyn Mercado has taken on her most demanding and deeply personal role yet.
Jennylyn is one of the most prominent multi-media stars in the Philippine entertainment industry. Aside from being called the Ultimate Star, fans are also calling her “Rom-Com Queen” because of her romantic comedy movies.
She started after winning as the First Female “Ultimate Survivor” in the inaugural season of GMA’s reality talent search, StarStruck. From that, she has done many acting projects and has portrayed various roles.

In a recent interview, based on the article in The Philippine Star, Jennylyn Mercado shared her most difficult role so far, and it is launching her first makeup and skincare line, DLN Skin. This is named after her daughter Dylan Jade.
Despite a successful showbiz career spanning over two decades, the star admitted that navigating the business world and running a beauty company in today’s digital era is far more challenging than acting in front of the cameras.
“Definitely being a CEO. It is something very new to me. Running a business is very different now in the digital age. Yung pagiging actress, mas madali na because I’ve been doing it for more than 20 years now,” the Kapuso star said.

What started as a personal need three years ago actually became the biggest opportunity for her. Working as an actress and public figure means she wears makeup and skincare every single day, so Jennylyn wanted to create something that finally works for her highly sensitive skin.
Driven by her search for an easily applied, seamless skin tint that caters to sensitive skin, she and her team spent three years developing their own unique formula.
That is when the idea of formulating her own brand came about. Jennylyn said that she is very proud of how far they have come, and she is also excited to share with everyone the DLN Intuitone Skin Tint.
“I hope they will enjoy it as much as I do,” Jennylyn Mercado said.
