Roque has said this about the relationship that Sara Duterte and PRRD now have
Presidential spokesperson Harry Roque, who is resigning to run for Senator in 2022, said that there is “tampuhan” between President Rodrigo Duterte and her daughter Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte but the love between will always be there.
To recall, speculations surfaced that the president and her daughter are not on good terms and allegedly, Senator Bong Go is involved in the issue. Amid the speculations about the political plan of Mayor Sara, she told her father and the Senator to stop talking about her.
When the mayor filed her candidacy for vice president, the same position that Sen. Go initially filed for, this is under the Lakas-CMD party and not the ruling PDP-Laban party of her father. Prior to this, in the “Plan C” article of Mon Tulfo, he mentioned the alleged conflict between PRRD and his daughter.
However, Sara Duterte slammed that article of Tulfo and pointed out the “lies” he wrote about her, the president, and Sen. Go.
On Monday, based on the report from GMA News Online, Sec. Harry Roque made this statement about the president and the Davao City Mayor. “May tampuhan, pero wala pong kaduda-duda, nagmamahalan ang mag-ama,” the presidential spokesperson said adding that “family ties will prevail.
Meanwhile, in a recent statement, President Duterte accused presidential aspirant Bongbong Marcos of pushing Sara Duterte to run for vice president. “‘Yung decision nila ang ayaw ko na tatakbo siya (Sara). I am sure ‘yung pagtakbo ni Sara ay desisyon nila Bongbong [Marcos] ‘yun,” the Chief Executive said. PRRD also expressed that he will not be supporting the presidential candidacy of BBM as he is endorsing Bong Go.
