King of Talk Boy Abunda says he’s willing to endorse a presidential candidate as the 2022 election approaches.
BOY ABUNDA – Country’s respected host Boy Abunda says “may napupusuan na” when it comes to presidential candidates for 2022 polls.
The Commission on Elections (Comelec) has released last October 29 a tentative list of candidates for 2022 polls. It showed the names of presidential and vice-presidential aspirants. It presented the names of 97 people who submitted their certificates of candidacy (COC) for president during the filing period that started from October 1 until October 8.
Among the notable candidates are:
- Vice President Leni Robredo
- Senator Manny Pacquiao
- Senator Ping Lacson
- Senator Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa
- Manila Mayor Isko Moreno
- Former senator and dictator’s son Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.
- Former presidential spokesman Ernesto Abella
- Former defense chief Norberto Gonzales
- Labor leader Leody De Guzman
When it comes to his choice of president, King Of Talk Boy Abunda revealed that he already has considered someone – “may napupusuan na”. However, he denied disclosing his choice for now because the list is not complete yet. He is referring to the deadline for the substitution of candidates which will be on November 15.
And when it comes to endorsing, he is accordingly willing and open if his voice will be needed to push the one he’s passionately believing in. He said according to ABS-CBN news, “That needs to be talked about, that needs a conversation Pero kung talagang kinakailangan… Kung kinakailangan ang boses ko to push someone I passionately believe in, yes.”
Meanwhile, he also understands if some stars and influential personalities like him will hesitate to endorse a particular candidate. He is well aware that being in show business, with being vocal about their political stand, will either do two things to them – receive hate and mudslinging or be praised. Celebrities like them are easy targets of criticisms because of their prominence from people who oppose their beliefs and opinions.
