Man Shot Himself to Death After He Killed His Brother Over Inheritance Quarrel

Two killed on the spot after a man shot his older brother to death and shot himself after due to a quarrel over the inheritance of their parents.

The gathering of the siblings in San Francisco, Quezon ended in tragedy due to a misunderstanding over the livelihood inherited from their late parents. According to a police report from San Francisco, the younger brother shot and murdered his older sibling.

After losing consciousness and collapsing to the floor, his older brother took his own life by shooting himself in the head. According to the police report, the 52-year-old suspect’s brother Nemrod, 54, who already lives in Calamba City, visits the suspect’s home to discuss their long-standing feud over the inheritance left to them by their parents.

Their talk, however, quickly devolved into a heated confrontation, culminating in the suspect shooting and hitting the victim in the back of the head, while also shooting him in the right side of the forehead. Both were assassinated on the spot inside the suspect’s home.

Meanwhile, five persons were slain, including three youngsters, and one was reported to be in serious condition, according to the police report, after one of their relatives allegedly shot them. A land dispute between relatives in Milaor, Camarines Sur, is said to have devolved into a slaughter.

The suspect who escaped following the event, is still being pursued by police. The victims were watching television when a suspect dressed in camouflage entered their home in Barangay Tarusanan and shot them with an M16 Armalite rifle about 5:45 p.m., according to authorities.
