Honest Policeman in Davao City Returns Lost P300k to Respective Owner
An honest policeman in Davao City earned praises for returning the lost cash he found to its respective owner.
Nowadays, we can rarely see people showing an act of honesty due to selfishness and increase of wickedness. A lot of people are already thinking about themselves and ignoring the important things in life.
However, there are still some individuals who can prove that honesty remains alive and the faith in humanity is restored.
Recently, the Philippine National Police (PNP) reported that Police Corporal Rene Getigan is conducting a mobile beat patrol at Buhangin, Davao City when he found a white envelope containing a huge amount of cash and cheques.
The cop immediately returned to the Buhangin Police Station and presented the white envelope. He also sought help from his fellow policemen to find the owner and return the lost money.
The envelope reportedly contains P309, 645.00, which allegedly owned by a cash collector from Metal Flow Hardware in Davao City. The money has been turned over to the respective owner after some clarification.

PNP Chief Police General Guillermo Eleazar lauded the act of honesty shows by Getigan. The PNP chief said the Getigan’s act only proves that there are still a lot of cops who were honest and loyal to their jobs.
“Ito ay isang patunay lamang na mas higit na nakakarami ang mga pulis na tapat at maasahan sa kanilang sinumpaang tungkulin, Ito naman ang gusto nating ipatupad na reporma sa PNP, na ang bawat pulis ay maging matapat at maasahan ng taumbayan na aming pinagsisilbihan,” Eleazar said.
