Class Suspensions Declared in These Areas for Tuesday (Oct 12)

WALANG PASOK – Several local government units have declared class suspensions in some areas due to Severe Tropical Storm Maring.

Over the past few days ago, Tropical Storm Maring continues to affect the country’s weather condition. The weather system causes inclement weather condition including heavy to intense rains with strong winds.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration reported that Tropical Storm Maring will continue to affect the country’s weather condition.

Class Suspensions

 Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal (TCWS) No. 2 remains in the following areas:

  • Batanes
  • Cagayan including Babuyan Islands,
  • Northern portion of Isabela
  • Apayao
  • Kalinga
  • Mountain Province
  • Abra
  • Ilocos Norte
  • Ilocos Sur

TCWS No. 1:

  • The rest of Isabela
  • Nueva Vizcaya
  • Quirino
  • Ifugao
  • Benguet
  • La Union
  • Pangasinan
  • Aurora
  • Nueva Ecija
  • Tarlac
  • Zambales
  • Pampanga
  • Bulacan
  • Northern portion of Bataan
  • Northern portion of Quezon

On Tuesday (October 12, 2021), some local government units have declared class cancellation in several areas due to the inclement weather condition brought by Severe Tropical Storm Maring.

Here is the list of areas covered by the suspension of classes:

  • Baguio City – all levels (public and private)
  • Tuba, Benguet – all levels (public and private)
  • Pangasinan – all levels (public and private)

The class suspension has been declared due to possible power interruption and signal outage amid the inclement weather condition.
