How’s Pokwang after transferring to the Kapuso network?
Comedienne-actress Pokwang shared her realizations after she decided to transfer to GMA-7 from ABS-CBN.
Pokie’s career in showbiz basically was boosted by the projects that she did in the Kapamilya network. However, earlier this year, she signed a contract with the Kapuso network and she is currently part of the hit sitcom Pepito Manaloto: Unang Kuwento.
In a recent media conference, based on the article in PEP, she is happy about her career right now and she is excited about her upcoming projects. “Sobrang excited po ako. Nag-meeting kami, ang ganda. Ipinagdarasal ko po, ‘Hay, Lord…’ Siyempre, nasa pandemic pa po tayo ngayon kaya medyo hinay-hinay muna tayo sa mga galawan. Naiintindihan ko naman po yan,” the comedienne-actress enthused.
She added that it is an answered prayer for her. Pokwang hinted that her upcoming project that is really making her excited is something that she really loves to do.
When asked about her realizations from his decision to transfer to GMA, she said, that it a something to be thankful that the Kapuso network opened its door for artists like her. However, the comedienne-actrress stressed, “Don’t burn bridges. Napakaliit ng industriyang ito. Dapat tayo ay kaibigan mo siya, kaibigan niya, i-friend mo lahat.”
Pokie shared that even though she is a Kapuso now, there were still ABS-CBN executives who sent flowers to her during her birthday. This means that she has no ill feelings towards her former bosses.
She is thankful for that and stressed that this is how things should be regarding network transfer. “And kagaya nga ng sinabi ko, napakaliit lang po ng mundong ginagalawan natin. Hindi mo alam kung sino ang makakatrabaho mo ngayon, bukas o sa darating na ano… so dapat friend ka sa lahat,” Pokwang added.
Meanwhile, she said that she is open to whatever project GMA will offer to her as she is willing to do comedy or drama.
