Davao Cong. Paolo Duterte Chides PBBM over 2022 Election Win
PAOLO DUTERTE – The Davao Congressman claimed that President Bongbong Marcos allegedly owes his 2022 win to Vice Pres. Sara Duterte.
Not only political but as well as personal gap may be existing between the Marcoses and the Dutertes now. It came after former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte was arrested in March 2025 and his custody was immediately transferred to the International Criminal Court (ICC) in The Hague, Netherlands.
Duterte remains detained under the custody of the ICC for more than a year now. He is faced with three (3) counts of murder as alleged crimes against humanity filed by the ICC prosecution.
Vice Pres. Sara Duterte claimed that PBBM allegedly committed an impeachable offense in the arrest and the transfer of the custody of former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte. According to her, they are no longer expecting that the ICC will release their father.
Davao Mayor Baste Duterte slammed Pres. Bongbong Marcos in several speeches. He even stressed that Marcos Jr. will allegedly never be loved by the people. He also claimed that they will rise and fight back.
Recently, Davao Cong. Paolo Duterte slammed Pres. Bongbong Marcos anew. According to the Davao Congressman, the President allegedly owes his 2022 Election win to Vice Pres. Sara Duterte.
Pres. Bongbong Marcos and Vice Pres. Sara Duterte ran as running mates in the 2022 Elections under the platform of unity. However, in 2024, the Vice President resigned from being the secretary of the Department of Education (DepEd) and she also left the Marcos Jr. Cabinet.
According to the younger Duterte, her resignation from being the education secretary includes both personal and work reasons. Recently, Davao Cong. Paolo Duterte claimed that Pres. Bongbong Marcos would allegedly have not won the margin that he did if not because of Vice Pres. Sara Duterte.
Based on a report on GMA News, Davao Cong. Paolo Duterte affirmed the statement of Pres. Bongbong Marcos that he has no regrets in running with Vice Pres. Sara Duterte in 2022. According to the Vice President’s elder brother, the President really should not regret anything.
“Tungkol sa sinabi mong wala kang regrets sa pagtakbo kasama si Vice President Sara Duterte—tama ka diyan. Wala ka talagang dapat pagsisihan. Because the truth is simple—without Sara Duterte, you would not have won by the margin that you did,” the Congressman said.
Davao Cong. Paolo Duterte claimed that the victory of Pres. Bongbong Marcos was built not his name but the trust and support delivered from the Duterte supporters. Based on the report, he stressed that history will always show it.
“The UniTeam coalition delivered votes from north to south. History will always show that your victory was built not on the Marcos name, but on the trust and support commanded by Vice President Sara Duterte,” Duterte expressed.
Recently, Davao Mayor Baste Duterte slammed Pres. Bongbong Marcos anew as he explained why he does not want to work under his government.
