Majority Senators Accompany Sen. Jinggoy Estrada amid Arrest Warrant
No majority senators yet has arrived for the Monday session in the Senate amid the voluntary surrender of Senator Jinggoy Estrada.
The Sandiganbayan has issued an arrest warrant against Sen. Jinggoy Estrada today and the Senator voluntarily surrendered to the authorities. Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Jonvic Remulla arrived at the Senate for the voluntary surrender of the Senator.

Sen. Jinggoy Estrada is faced with graft and plunder charges over the supposed flood control corruption. He is one of the three (3) majority senators who were investigated in the supposed flood control corruption.
Estrada denied the accusations against him. He believes that it is allegedly persecution. He also questioned the alleged quick move in the charges against the majority senators following the change in leadership in the Senate.

Shortly prior to the impeachment of Vice Pres. Sara Duterte, then-Senate Pres. Tito Sotto was ousted and replaced with now-Senate Pres. Alan Peter Cayetano. Sotto believes that his ouster may allegedly be related to the possible impeachment trial of the Vice President.
Today, as Sen. Jinggoy Estrada voluntarily surrendered to the authorities amid the arrest warrant issued by the Sandiganbayan, some majority senators accompanied him. Among them are Senate Pres. Alan Peter Cayetano and senators Camille Villar, Mark Villar, Rodante Marcoleta, and Imee Marcos.
The senators are set for a session at 5:00 p.m. Through a post on her social media page, Sen. Risa Hontiveros posted photos showing that no majority senators have arrived in the Senate session hall yet.
