Pokwang shares thought on bashers of her career move
Former Kapamilya star Pokwang reacted to the negative comments being thrown at her because of her decision to transfer to GMA-7.
The actress-comedienne expressed happiness to finally sign the contract with GMA Artist Center. She revealed that it was her choice to approach the management of the Kapuso network and she is thankful to finally seal that deal.
Last year, she already said that back in 2019, she asked permission from her former home network regarding her decision to transfer. However, at that time, she was not allowed yet.
Several of her friends in the entertainment industry showed support for her. Showbiz fans and avid supporters of GMA-7 also welcomed her in the Kapuso network.
On the other hand, Pokwang admitted that there are still those who did not like what she did. In a recent interview, based on the article in PEP, she said, “So far wala, Kung meron man siguro, isa, dalawa, tatlo, mga ganyan. And alam mo, hindi naman natin maiaalis talaga,”
Apparently, she already prepared herself for this kind of negative comments about her network switch. On the other hand, she stressed this one important point to the bashers of the career move.
“And hindi natin maiaalis ang mga opinyon nila na gano’n. At hindi niyo rin maiaalis sa akin na gumawa ng paraan na maipagpatuloy ko kung ano yung pangarap ko sa sarili ko at sa pamilya ko.” Pokwang said.
Meanwhile, when asked about her dream project now that she is a Kapuso, she shared, “Alam naman natin na cooking is my passion talaga. Travel… alam mo, gusto kong maging babaeng Anthony Bourdain, wow! Sobrang idol na idol ko siya.”
