Pokwang said this about her former bosses in ABS-CBN
Actress-comedienne Pokwang revealed the reaction of the bosses of ABS-CBN to her decision to transfer to GMA-7.
Pokie shared in a previous interview that she has been planning to transfer to the Kapuso network even before the pandemic. She also stressed that it was not prompted by the shutting down of ABS-CBN due to the franchise renewal issue.
Pokie said that she was the one who approached the bosses of GMA-7 regarding her career move back in 2019. “I’m thankful. It was not me who said yes to GMA 7—it was GMA 7 who said yes to me. I was the one who approached them three years ago. In all fairness, they all welcomed me with open arms,” she clarified.
Pokwang also said that she discussed this matter with the executives of the Kapamilya network, based on the article in Inquirer. “I messaged my bosses and they were supportive of my decision,” she said. The actress-comedienne added that everything went well.
She also revealed that when she accepted projects with TV5 earlier this year, ABS-CBN still had some plans for her but there was no concrete timeline. “I’m not getting any younger, and I want to do the things I want to do while I’m still strong and able,” Pokwang said.
Meanwhile, she is very excited about the upcoming projects lining up for her in the Kapuso network. Pokie also shared who she wants to work with on GMA-7 such as Kapuso Primetime Queen Marian Rivera and Pamabansang Bae Alden Richards. She is also looking forward to having projects with her friends Ai-Ai Delas Alas and Eugene Domingo.
