KUYA KIM ATIENZA – ABS-CBN weatherman Kim Atienza transfers to GMA and here are the reactions of his colleagues and other Kapamilya personalities.
In a previous article, Kapamilya host and weather reporter Kuya Kim Atienza talked about transition. It is real and it is happening but suggested that people should watch TV Patrol on Friday in order to hear the full announcement. He did not divulge the details yet about what he is going to announce but people have been guessing that it could be about his decision to leave his network which has had no franchise for over a year now.
A photo of Kuya Kim entering the GMA grounds and a teasing photo from the Kapuso about the coming of “Kuya” fueled the speculations about his transfer. While many people were saddened and upset over his decision to become a Kapuso, many also expressed their understanding because just like many of us amid the pandemic, they are also struggling to survive.
There were also speculations online stating that the soon-to-be Kapuso artist had his talks with the ABS-CBN executives about his transfer when Lovi Poe officially became a Kapamilya. And just recently, Kuya Kim posted a photo of him hugging his fellow reporters in TV Patrol and what he said in the caption is, “no words.”
In the comment section of his post, his colleagues in the network expressed love and support for him. Korina Sanchez wrote an inspiring statement saying that although many good things end, there are others more that do not. Most of them wished him good luck being in a new home and all the best in this new chapter of his life.
