This is why Lovi Poe decided to transfer to ABS-CBN despite having a counter-offer from her former network.
LOVI POE – New Kapamilya actress Lovi Poe reveals the real reason why she decided to leave GMA after being with them for 15 years of her career.
With returning Kapamilya actor Piolo Pascual, Lovi Poe signs a contract with the ABS-CBN network and officially becomes a Kapamilya artist. She was welcomed by several Kapamilya stars like Coco Martin, Anne Curtis, Kim Chiu, and others. She is dedicating her transfer to her late father “Da King” Fernando Poe Jr. whose home was always with ABS-CBN.

The first project she will do as a Kapamilya is the PH adaptation of “Flower Of Evil” with the ultimate heartthrob actor. Her sister, Senator Grace Poe was also happy over her career move and expressed that their father is surely proud of what she did. She added, “My special wish is that, actually, you make an action film. Kayang-kaya mo kasi disiplinado ka, very fit, at alam ko, magaling ka rin sumuntok.”
And now, finally speaking of her move about switching networks, the new Kapamilya star said that her decision was more of like doing something for herself. She wanted to see how far will she go out of her comfort zone which is with the GMA. Accordingly, when her transfer was not confirmed yet, her former network has given her a counter-offer but she declined following some realizations.
She said to PEP, “I think it’s more of a whole na parang I feel like we get to a point na we step out of our comfort zone… to experience and take up new adventures in life.”
Her decision was not fueled by what she can gain from what was offered to her. It has nothing to do with the offers and only because of her decision for herself. She added as per the report, “Like what I said, I’ve worked with the best of the best of GMA, and now I’m just gonna work with the best of best of ABS-CBN.”
Lovi has been with the GMA for 15 years and signed with ABS-CBN last September 16, 2021.
