Kind Cops Help Elderly Woman To Reunites w/ Her Family After 15 Years

An elderly woman finally got reunited with her beloved family in Lingayen, Pangasinan after being separated for 15 years.

The helpless woman named Divina “Nanay Dina” Estrada stayed in Multinlupa in 2006 so she could regularly visit her partner at the New Bilibid Prison. The old lady ends up begging from kind individuals just to survive after her partner died.

Nanay Dina was not able to go home in Pangasinan since 2006 and become a beggar due to lack of financial capabilities. She sought help from her neighbors in Barangay Poblacion to look for her daughter, Mejica Estrada.

Eventually, the elderly lady found her daughter on Facebook and agreed to meet but the quarantine restrictions hindered their plans. Mejica seek help from the local government and police officers to find Nanay Dina in Muntinlupa.

Lingayen Mayor Leopoldo Bataoil instructed the Southern Police District to find Nanay Dina. The authorities were able to find the old woman and made way to reunite with her family after 15 years. The police officers also give Nanay Dina some amount of cash.

Estrada returned to Pangasinan last September 18, 2021 and finally got reunited with family, her daughter and granddaughter got emotional during the heartwarming moment.

The Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief Police General Guillermo Lorenzo T Eleazar lauded the cops for their act of kindness towards the less-fortunate woman.

“Nakakataba ng puso na nakatulong ang ating kapulisan para makauwi muli itong si Nanay Dina sa kanyang pamilya, lalo na sa panahon na mahirap ang buhay at tila ba walang katiyakan dahil sa banta ng pandemya,” Eleazar said.
