Baby Safely Delivered Inside Ambulance in Ibajay, Aklan
A pregnant woman from Barangay Bugtong Bato in Ibajay, Aklan safely gave birth inside an ambulance, while being rushed to the hospital.
On the evening of May 28, 2026, the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) of Ibajay received the emergency call at around 8:11 p.m. Team Delta immediately responded to assist the woman, who was already experiencing labor pains and needed urgent medical attention.
The responders quickly brought the patient into the ambulance and started traveling toward the Ibajay District Hospital. However, while on the road, the woman’s labor became more intense, and it became clear that the baby could no longer wait until they reached the hospital.

The woman successfully delivered her baby during the trip, with the help of the responders inside the ambulance. Despite the tense situation, the emergency team remained calm and focused to ensure the safety of both the mother and the newborn child.
When the ambulance finally arrived at the hospital, medical personnel immediately welcomed the mother and baby and provided the necessary care and medical attention. Reports later confirmed that both the woman and her child were in safe condition after the unexpected roadside delivery.
The responders involved in the operation were identified as Marc John Saus Venus, Reythird Fernandez Agustin, and ambulance driver Eugene Dalisay. Many netizens praised the team for their quick response, professionalism, and dedication during the emergency.
