Kind Farm Owner Treats Farmers at Popular Fast-Food Chain Jollibee
A kind farm owner earned praises online after treating his farmers who have never been at Jollibee in their entire life.
A Facebook user named Josue Carmen Jr. has shared the photos of his employees eating at Jollibee for the first time after having a bountiful harvest. The post garnered various reactions from the social media users.
Carmen has touched the hearts of the netizens after posting the photos of a group of farmers working for his farm in Surallah, South Cotabato. The latter said that their farm had a bountiful harvest of pepper during the quarter.
Josue decided to treat them to a simple lunch out at fast food restaurant in the province as a celebration and to show his appreciation. The farmers said that they have never experience to eat at a fast-food chain.
“Sabi ko, ‘maganda ang ani at benta natin ngayong week, treat ko kayo,’ Nagtanong ako, ‘nakakain na ba kayo sa Jollibee?’ Sagot nila, hindi pa daw, first time daw nila,” Carmen said.
The farm owner that his group is expert in farm and boast that the Department of Agriculture SOCCKSARGEN have given them the Kabataang Agribiz Competitive Grant provincial award last August 2021.
The kind employer revealed that his farmers were indigenous people from the T’boli tribe of Lake Sebu. The farmers have been identified as Bran, Yanyan, Kim, and Nunoy. The photo has been taken last September 4, 2021.
Nunoy, a 16-year-old farmer is working hard in order to reach his dream to become a mechanic someday. Carmen promised him a bonus in December if the harvest goes well.
