Authorities Recovered Suspected Illegal Drugs Inside Tea Bags in Quezon City

The police authorities seized P36.8 million worth of illegal drugs inside drugs or called as “tsaa-bu” in Quezon City.

The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) Regional Drug Enforcement Unit together with City Drug Enforcement Unit of Lipa in Batangas, and Quezon City Police District Station 15 launched a joint operation.

The authorities launched the operation to stop the alleged distribution of the illegal drugs in Metro Manila, Calabarzon, and Central Luzon. The operation has been conducted in front of a school in the area.

Illegal Drugs

The suspect has been arrested by the authorities after the transaction has been done. The police authorities identified the 43-year-old suspect as Jason John Alberca alias Jun-Jun who is working as a CCTV installer.

The cops arrested Alberca during the buy-bust operation on Misamis Road in Barangay Sto. Cristo in Quezon City. Suspected illegal drugs have been found inside Chinese-labelled tea bags or known as “tsaa-bu” .

However, Alberca explained that he was just obeying orders and instructions from someone. He was just ordered to hand over the items in exchange for money. He will be detained at Camp Bagong Diwa.

The culprit will undergo a drug test and would face charges related for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
