Elisse Joson is opening her heart once more
A year after her breakup with actor McCoy de Leon, actress Elisse Joson shared that her heart remains open to love, though she now has a clearer idea of what she wants in a relationship.
Elisse and McCoy apparently had so many ups and downs in their relationship. They first met as celebrity housemates on the Kapamilya reality show Pinoy Big Brother: Lucky 7. Because of that, their popular “McLisse” love team was formed.
In 2021, they welcomed their daughter Felize McKenzie. However, in 2023, their relationship was on the rocks and reports surfaced that they broke up. Apparently, that coflict was resolved and they remained together. On the other hand, their final breakup happened in July 2025.
In an interview with DJ Chacha, based on the article in Newsko, the actress admitted that she has tried dating, but nothing has been successful so far.
“Kasi, feeling ko, nasa age na ako na alam ko na ‘yung gusto ko. Alam ko na ‘yung dapat for my future. Alam ko na ‘yung hindi ko kayang tanggapin,” Elisse Joson shared.
She says that she is happy being single right now and isn’t rushing into a new relationship. “Happy ako on my own. So kailangan ‘yung mahahanap kong partner, makaka-add up to that happiness na lang.”
According to Elisse, she doesn’t set a deadline for herself when she will have a boyfriend again. The actress said that she would be happy if somebody comes into her life, and she would be much ecstatic if that relationship will last.
Currently, Elisse Joson is busy with her acting career, and somehow, intrigues would come along her way, just like the accusation that she was the third party in the breakup between former couple Aljur Abrenica and Kylie Padilla. Elisse strongly denied this accusation against her.
