Was Vice Ganda being insensitive after joking about the issue of another show?
VICE GANDA – Former LOL’s creative manager Robin Sison was not happy about the ” pangangatok” joke of Vice Ganda in Showtime.
In a previous article, a part of Vice Ganda’s banter is about the “pangangatok” issue of a “kabilang show” which is obviously about the issue of “pangangatok” of Robin Sison. He is the former creative manager of TV5’s Lunch Out Loud but his contract was not renewed due to harassment accusations and abuse of authority issues.
Sison was accused that he was knocking on the room of female writers but he firmly denied it. Accordingly, he was with these two female writers in a room with some bottles of drinks while brainstorming for the show. There was also another story of him maliciously being accused of something but he also denied it.
And in Its Showtime, Vice Ganda jested throwing shade about it, “Wag kayong nanggu-gulo at nangangatok ng kwarto ha? Nagkagulo na sila dun sa kabilang show huwang niyo nang gawin dito yan.”
The joke of the Kapamilya comedian did not suit well to Sison and he believes that the matter should not be turned into something as a laughing stock. It’s a serious matter to him and for him, it’s quite insensitive for it to be used as a joke. They see no problem if the issues have reached them but to make a joke out of it is distasteful because such matters are not for entertainment.
He has nothing against the comedian or anyone but he also understands that they do not know the whole story and the situation. He only has one plea to the netizens and that is not to bash Vice.
Robin expressed based on an article from PEP, “Hindi siguro nila naramdaman na medyo sensitibo ang isyu kaya hindi magandang gawing katawa-tawa. I have nothing against Vice or It’s Showtime people dahil may mga kaibigan din ako doon. Masakit din sa akin na may mga taong naba-bash dahil sa isyu na ito.”
