Woman Pretends as Doctor & Works at Hospital for 8 Months
An Australian woman allegedly pretended as a doctor and worked at a hospital for eight months during the pandemic.
A 27-year-old woman in Sydney, Australia worked as a doctor at a hospital in the city amid health crisis. The lady suspect reportedly pretended as a registered doctor for an unknown reason.
Bankstown-Lidcombe Hospital said that the lady was able to work at their hospital for eight months without getting caught. The management discovered that the woman is not registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency last Monday (August 9).
The police authorities did not reveal the name of the female culprit but she has been immediately dismissed from the hospital. The hospital reported the incident to the New South Wales police for further investigation.
The unnamed lady start to pretend as a medical doctor last January 2021 until she has been caught this month of August. She has been fully supervised throughout the entire period.
The fake doctor allegedly used fake documents to get the job at the hospital. The lady has been caught after the bosses of the hospital asked her for paperwork that she couldn’t provide.
The hospital management is also conducting an internal investigation and reported it to the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency for legal action. The woman could face several charges such as fraud if proven guilty.
The government survey showed that around 38 percent of Australian who lost their jobs during the COVID-19 pandemic were 25-year-old below.
