PAGASA Says Southwest Monsoon to Continue to Bring Rains Over Parts of PH

PAGASA Releases Latest Weather Update for Monday (July 26)

The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that the southwest monsoon would continue to bring rains over some parts of the country.

On Monday (July 26, 2021), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. Habagat would continue to affect the country’s weather condition.

PAGASA reported that the southwest monsoon would bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms over Bicol Region, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon and Northern Samar.

Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, Quirino, Nueva Vizcaya, Apayao, Kalinga, Mountain Province, Ifugao, and Aurora would have the same weather condition.

Cloudy weather condition with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms are expected over the rest of Visayas, Palawan including Kalayaan Islands. Abra and Benguet would experience similar weather condition.

Monsoon rains are expected over the provinces Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan and Occidental Mindoro.

Southwest Monsoon

The agency is also monitoring two tropical cyclones such as Typhoon In-Fa (formerly Fabian) and Tropical Storm Nepartak outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility.

Meanwhile, the coastal water conditions over Luzon and Visayas would be moderate to rough. Slight to moderate surrounding sea conditions are expected over Mindanao.
