This is the point of view of John Lapus when it comes to the network transfer of some celebrities
Comedian-actor John Lapus shared his reaction to the decision of some artists to transfer to other networks.
These past few days, the issue of network transfer became a hot topic in show business. Several artists from the Kapamilya network have already signed contracts with the Kapuso network such as Bea Alonzo, Beauty Gonzalez, Pokwang, and former Star Magic head Johnny Manahan.
The network transfer of Bea became controversial as many loyal Kapamilya fans reacted to this. In line with this, John Lapus shared his reaction, based on the article in PEP.
The comedian said that he understands the decision of celebrities who did “lipat bakod.” It is because he already did the same. From ABS-CBN, he transferred to GMA and worked with the Kapuso network for seven years before he transferred back to the Kapamilya network.
“Naiintidihan ko lalo na kung wala namang trabaho. And ngayong may pandemya, everybody needs to work,” he said. However, he stressed the importance of “maayos ang pag-alis”.
“Sana lang maging maayos ang kanilang pagpapaalam or, I mean, basically magpaalam kahit na wala ka ng contract or wala ka ng commitment to whatever network that you are in. Magpaalam ka nang maayos kung lilipat ka sa kabilang network,” John Lapus added.
The comedian also said that he talked to the management of both networks when he decided to transfer to another network. “So yun, para maayos, walang taong nasasaktan, walang nagagalit, at maging positive ‘yang paglipat to wherever network, di ba?” he shared.
