Video of Traffic Enforcer Caught Extorting Victim Via Gcash Goes Viral
The video footage of a traffic enforcer goes viral after he was caught on act of extortion and instructing his victim to send it via Gcash.
Nowadays, corruption becomes one of the most common types of crimes not only in the Philippines but also in different countries all around the world. Extortion is a form of corruption, which has corresponding sanctions and penalties.
Over the past decades, a lot of motorists have been complaining against traffic enforcers and cops who were extorting money from them. Corruption still happens despite the government’s effort to eradicate corruption.
The Facebook page “Philippines CCTV & DASH CAM Spotted” has shared the video footage of a traffic enforcer who is allegedly extorting cash from a driver. The post garnered various reactions from the online community.
In the video, it can be seen that the driver is asking the enforcer if he had received the amount on his Gcash account. The officer confirmed that the amount has already entered his digital wallet.
The driver responded that everything is fine and the corrupt officer even asked the victim if he sent it to a certain ‘Dennis Clarina”.
