Man Sustain Serious Nose Injury After Alleged Bolo Attack During Drinking Session
A 37-year-old man loses his nose was reportedly cut off after a bolo attack during a drinking session in Pangantucan, Bukidnon.
On July 24, 2026, the victim was drinking with several individuals when a heated argument broke out between him and a 40-year-old man in Barangay Madaya. The simple verbal disagreement eventually escalated into a physical fight.
Authorities said tensions quickly rose as the two men exchanged blows. During the commotion, the 40-year-old man’s 26-year-old son allegedly became involved in the altercation.
Based on the initial police investigation, the younger suspect reportedly grabbed a bolo and attacked the victim. The victim allegedly tried to dodge the strike, but a sharp weapon hit his face. The force of the attack severely injured his nose, causing it to be completely severed.
The victim was immediately rushed to Pangantucan Medical Hospital for emergency treatment. Due to the seriousness of his injuries, he was later transferred to Bukidnon Provincial Hospital for further medical care.
The authorities arrested the 40-year-old father and placed him under police custody at the Pangantucan Municipal Police Station. Investigators are currently preparing the appropriate charges that may be filed in connection with the case.

Meanwhile, the 26-year-old suspect, who was identified by police as the alleged attacker, managed to escape after the incident. Law enforcement officers immediately launched a hot pursuit operation to locate and arrest him.
Police intelligence units have joined the search as authorities continue gathering information on the suspect’s possible location. Investigators are also working to determine the full sequence of events that led to violent confrontation.
