Noynoy is the only son of two democracy icons late Senator Benigno Aquino Jr and former president Corazon Aquino. Foreign Secretary Teodoro Locsin shared in a post his “grief over the death of a sea-green incorruptible”. He remembered him as the leader who was “brave under armed attack, wounded in crossfire, indifferent to power and its trappings, and ruled our country with a puzzling coldness but only because he hid his feelings so well it was thought he had none”.

Former Senator Bam Aquino, Noynoy’s cousin, was heartbroken over the older Aquino’s demise. He is so sure that many will be said about him but one thing he is sure about the late Aquino is that he gave everything he can for the Filipino people not leaving anything for himself.

Senators also grieved over the sudden and heartbreaking death of Aquino with most of them described the late chief executive as a “good man” and someone who served the country and the people with “humility, honor, and integrity”. And one of those who also remembered and condoled with the Aquino family is Kapamilya superstar Vice Ganda who is a close friend of Kris Aquino.

On Twitter, he is also as shocked and sad over the late former president’s passing. He extended his “heartfelt condolences” to the bereaved.

On Twitter, the full post of Vice Ganda read:

“Today is a sad day as we are all shocked by the untimely death of former President Noynoy Aquino. I am one with every Filipino as we grieve and mourn his unexpected death. My heartfelt condolences to the Aquino Family. Godspeed PNoy and Rest In Peace.”
