WalangPasok: Class Suspensions on Friday (May 14) Due to Tropical Depression Crising

WALANG PASOK – Several local government units have declared class suspensions for Friday due to effects of Crising.

Over the past few days, Tropical depression Crising continue to affect the country’s weather condition. The weather system brought an inclement weather condition over some parts of the country.

Crising has been last spotted along the vicinity of Kapalong, Davao del Norte. It has maximum sustained winds of 45 kilometers per hour and gustiness of up to 75 kph while moving at a west-northwest direction.

Class Suspensions

The weather agency has also raised tropical cyclone wind signal in various provinces due to the effects of the tropical depression. Crising is expected to make a landfall in Palawan by Saturday (May 15).

Meanwhile, some local government units have declared class suspensions for Friday (May 14, 2021) as Tropical depression Crising accelerates while heading west-northwestward towards Davao Oriental-Surigao del Sur area.

Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte also advised announced full work-from-home arrangement in government offices to ensure the safety of the employees.

The class cancellation has been announced due to possible power interruption since students are using online platforms for both distance and modular learning system amid the coronavirus pandemic.
