Davao Residents Advised to Take Precautionary Measures for Possible Flooding & Landslide Due to Typhoon Bising
The authorities warned the Davao residents for possible flash floods and landslides due to the effects of Typhoon Bising.
On Saturday morning (April 17, 2021), the Mines and Geosciences Bureau ng Department of Environment and Natural Resources warned the residents of Davao Region to take precautionary measures for possible flooding and landslide in the area.
The agency said that the areas including Purok 15, 16, 17, and 22 of Barangay Mt. Diwata in Monkayo, Davao de Oro are ”very highly susceptible”. The group also recommended a preemptive evacuation and suspension of mining activities.
The Philippine Coast Guard District North Eastern Mindanao (CGDNEM) is currently under full alert status as preparation for the possible devastation of Typhoon Bising. CGDNEM quickly formed a Quick Response Team that will monitor unexpected incidents within the next few hours.
The mobility and floating assets of all stations and sub-stations of coast guard and entire Caraga region are now ready.

The agency also warned the fisher folks to temporarily suspend sea ventures due to the rough coastal water condition caused by Typhoon Bising.
