Here’s the message of Eva Eugenio for Claire Dela Fuente who died at the age of 63.
CLAIRE DELA FUENTE – OPM icon and fellow Jukebox Queen Eve Eugenio saddened over death of her dear friend Claire Dela Fuente who died due to cardiac arrest.
The singer of OPM’s iconic songs ‘Sayang’ and ‘Nakaw na Pag-ibig’ is Claire Dela Fuente who died due to cardiac arrest at the age of 63. Her sudden and untimely death has been confirmed by her son Gigo De Guzman who also revealed that she tested positive for COVID-19 a week before. Apart from that, she was also diagnosed with anxiety, hypertension, and diabetes and during her sleep, her heart gave out and passed away.

She was dubbed as the “Asia’s sweetest voice” and “the Karen Carpenter of the Philippines.” Alongside Imelda Papin and Eva Eugenio, their trio is known and loved as the “Jukebox Queens”. And Eugenio, over the passing of Dela Fuente, was saddened and expressed a message for her.
On Facebook, she wrote, “I will truly miss you, my dear friend. I will miss all our chikahan, laitan, tawanan at kantahan. Thank you for being a good friend, and a good God Mother to my daughter. Rest in Peace kumare. Jukebox Queens will not be complete without you.”

Dela Fuente died days after she was got the virus. According to her son, she has exhibited mild symptoms, including cough, colds, and low-grade fever. They tried to admit her to a hospital but were denied by two which made them decide to settle her in a tent outside the Las Piñas Doctors Hospital where they are supposed to wait until she gets to be admitted.
